File note

Dear A and D

Diagnosis:
1. Third unsuccessful IVF cycle
2. Primary infertility secondary to azoospermia post vasectomy reversal
3. Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, treated cardiac septal ablation, 1998 and 1999, second procedure complicated by vascular injury requiring double bypass graft
4. Allergy to aspirin and ibuprofen
5. Dysmenorrhoea, possibly due to endometriosis
6. Short menstrual cycle

A and D were seen for review following their recent unsuccessful third IVF cycle. On this occasion A was again treated with a DL255 regimen, ovarian response was not as good as previously and only three eggs were collected, two of these were able to be injected with sperm and subsequently two embryos were transferred on the 20.09.12. A went on to have a positive pregnancy test with an initial good rise in HCG, however within a few days she had developed some spotting and the HCG level subsequently fell. They are understandably incredibly disappointed at the outcome of the treatment and at this stage A does not feel ready to stop treatment, they will however take a few months break and they will be in touch with us next year should they wish to proceed with further treatment.

Yours sincerely ...

  1. A break from it all sounds like a wise thing to do... get some Sun, try to relax, and take it one day at a time...

    Take care,
    CG
